Glance collects nothing about you. There is no account, no
analytics, and no server that we operate. Everything Glance touches stays on your
own devices; the small amount of data that moves between your Mac and your phone is
end-to-end encrypted and travels directly over your local network.
Information we collect
None. We operate no servers, accounts, or analytics, and we do not
collect, receive, store, sell, or share any personal information or usage data. We
cannot see your tasks, files, device identifiers, location, or activity.
Information processed only on your devices
On your Mac, Glance reads — and never transmits to us — in-progress download file
names and sizes in ~/Downloads, the running process list (to recognize
long tasks), and, for a wrapped command, its output scanned in memory for a progress
number and then discarded. When you pair a phone, only task metadata
(name, kind, state, progress, timestamps, exit codes) is sent directly to your
own paired device over your local network. File contents, full command
output, keystrokes, screen contents and browsing history are never transmitted.
Storage & deletion
A pairing key is stored on each device (the Mac key file is user-only; the iPhone key
sits in the app's protected container). Unpairing in the app, or deleting the key on
the Mac, removes it. Task data is ephemeral and is not written to any database by us.
Third parties & children
No third-party analytics, advertising, or tracking SDKs. Glance uses only Apple's
on-device features (local networking, Live Activities, local notifications), governed
by Apple's Privacy Policy. Glance is
a general-audience developer utility, not directed to children, and collects nothing
from anyone.
Your rights & contact
Because we hold no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct, export,

Terms of Use
By downloading, installing, or using Glance (the "App"), you agree to these Terms. If
you do not agree, do not use the App.
Use Glance only on devices and accounts you are authorized to use, in compliance with
all applicable laws and the terms of any platform you obtain it from. Do not use it to
monitor or exfiltrate data from systems or people without authorization. You are
responsible for what you choose to track and for any task names shown on your devices.
No warranty
THE APP IS PROVIDED "AS IS", WITHOUT WARRANTY OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED,
INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. We
do not warrant that it will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free, or that task
notifications will always be delivered. Glance is a best-effort convenience, not
a safety-critical or alerting system — do not rely on it where a missed or
delayed update could cause harm or loss.
Limitation of liability
TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT SHALL THE AUTHORS OR RIGHTS
HOLDERS BE LIABLE FOR ANY CLAIM OR DAMAGES (DIRECT, INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, OR
CONSEQUENTIAL, OR LOST DATA, PROFITS, OR TIME) ARISING FROM OR IN CONNECTION WITH THE
APP OR ITS USE.
Termination, changes, governing law
You may stop using the App at any time by uninstalling it; the disclaimers and
liability limits survive. We may update these Terms, with the current version posted

Data & Compliance
For reviewers and regulated users: Glance has no server and collects no
personal data, so most obligations that apply to data-collecting apps do not
arise.
Roles
Because no data reaches us, we are neither a data controller nor a
processor of your personal data. You are the sole controller of any data
Glance produces, all of which stays on hardware you control.
GDPR (EU/EEA/UK)
We perform no processing of personal data, so no lawful basis, DPO, or representative
is required on our side. Access, rectification, erasure, and portability are
exercisable directly by you on your devices (unpair to erase the key; task data is
ephemeral). No international transfers occur, because data never crosses a network we
operate.
CCPA / CPRA (California)
We do not collect, sell, or "share" personal information as defined by the CCPA/CPRA.
There is nothing to opt out of.
Apple App Store privacy
Glance's App Privacy declaration is Data Not Collected. The app uses
on-device features only — Local Network, Live Activities, and local notifications.
Encryption is standard ChaCha20-Poly1305 used solely for the app's own sync
(ITSAppUsesNonExemptEncryption = false; confirm for your distribution).
Retention & security
Task data is ephemeral and not persisted by us; the pairing key is retained on each
device until you remove it. With no central store, there is no central breach surface.
